In the municipality of Gresten-Land you still have the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharge your batteries in nature. Our recreational landscape with its meadows and forests invites you to hike, walk, cycle or simply relax. From the mountain peaks such as Goganz, Schwarzenberg and the Grestner Höhe, you can admire the mountains as far as the Gesäuse. In 2006, our municipality joined the ‘Healthy Community’ network, an initiative of the Lower Austrian provincial government. Under this guise, events are held in the municipality time and again to promote a health-conscious lifestyle through exercise, sport, nutrition, courses and lectures.
