Stazione sciistica Althütte Waldmünchen

Our ski and leisure area is located at an altitude of approx. 800 meters in the Bavarian-Bohemian border area of the Upper Palatinate between Furth im Wald and Waldmünchen in the Cham district, an idyllic holiday region at the foot of the Gibacht and Cerchov mountains, and is worth a visit at any time of the year.

Just in time for the 2014 / 2015 winter season, the existing ski lift was expanded to include a new functional building and a state-of-the-art snowmaking system with low-noise snow lances. A newly created water storage pond, which blends harmoniously into the landscape, provides snowmaking. The electronic Key Card system was also installed, which opens the passage to the corresponding lift without contact.

The approximately 250-meter-long ski slope is ideal for beginners and children. This ski slope also offers ideal conditions for learning your first turns for ski and snowboard courses. Various sports clubs in the Cham district also offer ski courses for different age groups.

Schools and kindergartens in the area also organize their winter sports days with us, as in addition to skiing and snowboarding, there is also the opportunity to go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing.

The tobogganing lift, which runs parallel to the ski lift, makes it easier to climb to the prepared toboggan run in winter. You can also rent a limited number of bobsleighs or sledges suitable for the lift from us. If you bring your own sled or bobsleigh, you will need to rent the necessary transport kit from us.

The Bergstadl Althütte is right next to our ski and toboggan slope. There, you can not only enjoy a wide range of food and drinks but also watch the hustle and bustle of your children from the sun terrace.

Sufficient free parking spaces are available for users of our lifts and for guests of the Bergstadl Althütte.
