Hochfügen/Fügenberg - a paradise for hiking and recreation - is situated above Fügen at an elevation of between 600 and 2000m in the middle of a huge, densely wooded area. The highest spots (Spieljoch, Kellerjoch, Marchkopf) are located at an elevation of up to 2500m.

Hochfügen is also a starting point for tours to the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal ski area, an area which is known for its reliable snow record and for its four-star hotels and the highly-rated Alexander Restaurant.
