Naturally Bad Laasphe in the Lahn Valley

Idyllically situated, the Lahn town is the natural gateway to the Wittgenstein mountains. Here, an impressive network of hiking trails opens up with mountain ranges and wonderful views. Highlights include the Rothaarsteig and Lahnwanderweg stage tours.
Themed trails such as the Myths and Legends Trail, the Sculpture Trail or the Rothaarsteig Trail "Ilsetalpfad" are just as inspiring as family-friendly offers such as the fairytale hiking trail "Kleiner Rothaar".

Yoga hikes, expert mushroom tours or a round on the "Laaspher Bierwegelchen" with interesting facts about Laaspher's brewing history - everyone will find the right thing for them here. A nocturnal stroll with the Hillerberger Franz through the alleys of the historic old town, a visit to the Mushroom Museum or the International Radio Museum, as well as events such as the Hiking Festival on 16/17 May or Bad Laasphe tafelt! on 19 June and a varied programme of events organised by the Kulturring make a visit worthwhile at any time of year.

Bad Laasphe is also highly recommended for cycling - sporty mountain biking up the heights or leisurely through the river valleys. E-bikes are also available for hire for pleasure cyclists. More and more cycling enthusiasts are taking the 245 km long Lahn Cycle Path from its source near Bad Laasphe to where the Lahn flows into the Rhine.
