Stazione sciistica Le Grand Bornand

Le Grand-Bornand is a charming and traditional mountain village in the heart of the Aravis Mountain range in the Haute Savoie, perfectly located between Mont Blanc, Lake Annecy and Switzerland. It offers the best of the Alps: the charm and soul of a traditional mountain village and the facilities of a modern resort.

The resort is divided in to two parts: Le Grand-Bornand Village is, at 1,000 m, and Le Grand-Bornand Chinaillon at 1,300 m. The station offers a wide variety of accommodations with hotels varying from ** to ****, as well as campings, gîtes, chambres d'hôtes et meublés, up until fully luxurious ***** hotels. New buildings with charming architecture stand alongside monumental chalets.

The Aravis Mountains, with their summit at 2,750 m, form the main backdrop to the village. The range is capped by the distinctive Pointe Percée from where forested mountain slopes, open to all, curve down towards the village. There are some red and blue slopes buit most in this corner of the ski area are the easiest level: green. For more high altitude adventurous skiing one has to cross over to La Clusaz with its the fully integrated lifts and slopes.
