The Bouřňák Ski Resort is located on the ridge of the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory) in the village of Mikulov, about 15 km from the spa town of Teplice and approximately 100 km from Prague. Via the German A17 motorway and then the D8, the distance from Dresden to Mikulov is only 62 km.

There are six downhill slopes of varying difficulty leading from the top of Bouřňák (869 m above sea level). The "Údolíčko" (Small valley) slope is designed for children and beginner skiers, where everyone can learn to ski at three ski schools.
On the Hrobská slope, which is the only one facing south, you can test your skills in the Snow Park.
A trail for the increasingly popular ski mountaineering leads from the main car park in the village of Mikulov.
In the vicinity of Nové Město, the resort maintains a total of 59 km of cross-country trails, which connect to the Krušnohorská magistrála (The Ore Mountains Ski Trail) leading along the ridge of the Ore Mountains.
