On the Styrian/Carinthian border, on a rocky outcrop, lies the ruins of Dürnstein Castle, which was built in the 11th century by Duke Henry III of Carinthia. Today, revitalized, it serves as a meeting place. Weddings, festivities or saga evenings in this ambience are special experiences and let you dive into times long past.

During the summer months, "castle adventures" also take place on certain days.

Castle adventures:
Travel back in time to the Middle Ages - immerse yourself in the world of castle lords and damsels. There are no limits to your imagination when roaming the castle grounds. After a barbecue around the campfire, legends and exciting stories about the castle are told. And there might even be a castle ghost hiding in the thick walls.

The inner courtyard can be visited independently at any time free of charge!

By appointment, the castle interiors can be visited in the course of a guided tour.
In the adventure program of the nature park you will find all dates for the saga evenings for children and families.
