A summer with us means:
rising after a pleasantly cool night, looking out over the surrounding mountains and lakes, stretching out on the balcony and listening to the gentle tinkling of cow bells.

Next comes a hearty breakfast from our buffet in preparation for the exciting day ahead.

You will barely be disturbed by cars as the Tauplitzalm is largely traffic free: only authorised individuals (including our guests, suppliers, etc) are able to use the road on the high plateau.
Incidentally, you won’t be bothered by ticks or dust mites either as they don’t exist at our height.

A hiking paradise

The Tauplitzalm, situated 1650 metres above sea level, is a true walker’s paradise with 16 crystal-clear mountain lakes on the high plateau.
You can go on a number of alpine walks without first having to climb steep mountains.

Flower lovers are always excited by the huge variety of alpine flowers. The alpine rose, or “Almrausch” as we call it, blooms from around the first week of July.
You are more than welcome to bring your dog
The "Alm" is also paradise for guests with dogs. It goes without saying that dogs can swim in our mountain lakes.

Cuisine
We go to great lengths to ensure that our guests are exceptionally well catered for and endeavour to source mainly fresh organic products from local farmers.

The house chef is constantly working on new creations which are eagerly consumed by our guests (many of whom have been regulars for a number of years).

There is also a weekly fondue or barbecue evening on the terrace or a gala buffet. The chef’s wine cellar comprises a huge selection of premium-quality wines, most of which are Austrian.
