See, experience and enjoy a very welcoming atmosphere in our comfortable family-run accommodation. Our accommodation is situated between the town of St. Johann im Pongau and Alpendorf. It is therefore an ideal starting point for breathtaking hikes and trips to many places of interest. During the skiing season St. Johann im Pongau with neighbouring Alpendorf is the gateway to Ski Amadé, Austria's most extensive ski area.

Breakfast

Just sit down and allow us to spoil you with a substantial breakfast buffet which includes a range of home-made products like bread, marmalade, ham, bacon and apple juice.

Rooms

Much love and care has gone into the design of our modern furnished accommodation. You can choose between double rooms and family rooms. All rooms are equipped with a shower, WC, cable TV, free Wi-Fi and a balcony offering a sweeping view of picturesque countryside.

Our apartment house, which is connected underground with the main house, provides apartments for 2 - 7 people. All the apartments are equipped with a shower /WC, a hall, a kitchen with a comfortable dining area, a microwave, an oven, cable TV, a radio, free Wi-Fi and a balcony providing an amazing view of spectacular scenery.

Alpendorf, which is only a few minutes' walk from our accommodation, provides a hugely popular children's playground offering among other things crazy golf and tennis courts. For our guests the Alpendorf Activity Club offers daily animation programmes for all age groups.

Terrace and Barbecue

Just the place to unwind after an eventful day! You can relax in one of our comfy deckchairs, maybe savouring a glass of excellent wine and enjoy the magnificent view across our valley..

At your request our barbecue and sheltered sitting area will be at your disposal also for private occasions.

Our accommodation is only about 2 km from the town of St. Johann im Pongau with its shopping centre. Our central position makes us an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and excursions.

Bathing Lake

In close vicinity to our accommodation there is a beautiful artificial bathing lake. Fun for the whole family!

Geisterberg (Ghost Mountain)

This is a leisure and adventure park to be enjoyed by all the family. Ride up Ghost Mountain in one of Alpendorf's cable cars and then continue your journey on the Ghost Train. Golf

The Golf Club St. Johann - Alpendorf, approximately 5 km from our accommodation, provides a beautifully situated golf course with a spectacular view of the Tennengebirge mountain range.

The Alpendorf Activity Club (only 1km from our doorstep) offers animation programmes for all age groups. You can choose between guided hikes, cycling tours, canyoning, rafting, paragliding, climbing and many other activities.

Kids-Club

Also the Alpendorf Kids' Club leaves nothing to be desired. This big adventure playground, only 1 km from our accommodation, will thrill any child's heart. Choose between: a mini race track, the crazy golf course, a climbing wall, a giant bouncy pillow, a petting zoo, the children´s train and many other attractions.....

Make sure you don't miss out on a visit to the town of St. Johann im Pongau. It is located about 56 km south of the Festival City of Salzburg, which among a host of other attractions boasts Mozart's birthplace. At your leisure go for a stroll through St. Johann and visit Pongau Cathedral (Pongauer Dom), a Gothic church, which stands proud of the town centre. Pongau Cathedral has become the symbol of St. Johann, a town steeped in tradition which has been the favourite holiday destination of generations of tourists. Offering many shopping possibilities St. Johann has maintained its status as the regional shopping centre of choice.

... Sights in the vicinity of the town of Werfen (20 km from St. Johann) - A visit to the "Eisriesenwelt", the largest ice-cave in the world, is a must for tourists and certainly one of the sightseeing highlights in the area.

... Burg Hohenwerfen (Hohenwerfen Castle) - This is an impressive fortification dating from the 11th century. 900 years old it stands high above the town of Werfen in the Salzach valley, approximately 20 km from St. Johann im Pongau. Certainly worth seeing!

... Salzwelten Hallein (Hallein Salt Mine) - The fact that the first part of the word "Salz-burg" is "Salz", which is German for "salt", goes to show how important the mineral has been in the history of this province. Join a guided tour through the oldest saltmine in the world in the city of Hallein (40 km from St. Johann) and follow the mysterious, ancient miners' tunnels for many kilometres into mystical Mount Dürnberg. Suitable for children aged four and over.

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road, named after Austria's highest peak, Mount Großglockner (3.798 m), is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. Hit this road in the High Tauern National Park (Nationalpark Hohe Tauern) and follow it right to its end where you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of this majestic mountain and Austria's biggest glacier, the famous Pasterze. Your adventure starts only 60 km from our doorstep!

... Stadt Salzburg (City of Salzburg) - The City of Salzburg, among whose attractions Mozart's birthplace is only one, is a definite must-not-miss for all culture vultures!! And only 60 km from our accommodation, too!

Kapruner Hochgebirgsstauseen (Kaprun Valley Reservoirs) - Undertake a fascinating journey up into the glaciated mountains near the town of Kaprun: Enjoy the lush green of Alpine pastures in the sun, breathe in the fresh mountain air and marvel at the turquoise mountain water collected in gigantic reservoirs.

... Freilicht Museum Großgmain bei Salzburg (Großgmain Open-Air Museum near Salzburg) - This open-air museum presents old farmhouses from all over Salzburg Province in an historically authentic setting. Absolutely worth a visit!

... Krimmler Wasserfälle (The Krimml Waterfalls) - The Krimml Waterfalls with a total height of 380 metres are the highest waterfalls not only in Austria, but in the whole of Europe.
