While mountaineers let off steam mainly in the Kampermauern of Rosenau with leisure and sport climbing, alpine hikers cavort above all along the circular hiking trail "Auf der Alm" on the Hengstpass. Numerous managed alpine pastures and huts around the Hengstpass spoil you with homemade delicacies such as cider, bacon, bread and much more. Incidentally, in winter there are extensive snowshoe hikes in the glittering winter landscape of Rosenau. For example, pleasure cyclists and pedal enthusiasts can cycle the “Langfirst” mountain bike route from the Haslersgatter to the Hengstpassalmen.

The Biathlon & Langlauf Arena presents itself as an athlete-friendly area not only in winter. While supporters of narrow boards and all those who want to stay in good shape have a good 20 kilometers of cross-country trails available for the right track in the winter months, skaters can enjoy a 3-kilometer long, finely paved track here in summer. Biathlon beginners can try their hand at the taster biathlon here.

Funny hours are guaranteed in winter with an exuberant toboggan run on the 1.3 km long toboggan run from Berggasthof Zottensberg in Edlbach to Rosenau am Hengstpass. Not only during the day, but also at night, speedsters can pursue their winter fun on the floodlit track.
