Pension zur Heiligen Krone

The Pension:

The Pension zur Heiligen Krone is located in Mauterndorf. It’s a charming village from the middle ages with a beautiful central square and a little castle. The village is surrounded by the “Tauern” mountains with hilltops higher than 2000 meters.
Our pension is about 1 km far from the Grosseck-Speiereck ski truck and 15 km from Obertauern, which is the biggest ski centre in Lungau with about 250 km of ski slopes.
Our pension has 7 apartments and 5 double rooms. The ski bus stops almost in front of the house, at about 50 m far from the pension.

Accommodation:

Apartments: kitchen corner with all facilities (microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, pots, etc.), en suite bathroom, 2 double beds, or one double bed and a bunk bed, SAT-TV and a small dining room

Double rooms: 1 double bed, en suite bathroom, SAT-TV, on demand it is possible to put 1 or 2 spare beds or cots in the rooms

Catering:

Rich-extended buffet with international standard foods (cake, toast, jam, cheese, egg, cold collation, coffee, tee, juice). Half board is possible, too.

Other services:

• DVD-player and films for rent
• Table-football
• Free use of infra- and Finnish sauna
• hiring skis and ski boots

Ski centres:

Obertauern: 2600 m (from 1st December until 1st May)
Grosseck-Speiereck (Mauterndorf) 2400 m (from 1st December until the middle of May) (free ski buses from the pension)
Katschberg: 2200 m (from 1st December until the middle of May)
Aineck: 2200 m (from 1st December until the middle of May)
Fanningberg: 2000 m (from 1st of December until the middle of May)

Ski tickets:
Lungo: valid for all five ski-trucks in Lungau
Lungau: valid for all ski-trucks in Lungau except Obertauern

Summer programmes:

• Open-air spa in Mauterndorf
• Trekking: the ski lifts work also in summer, from the 1st June until the 30th September
• Cycling: 470 km bicycle road in Lungau
• Rafting, canyoning, hydro speed
• Cultural sightseeing: castle of Mauterndorf, Salzburg, etc.
• Visit of the “Eisriesenwelt”: the biggest ice-cave in the world (about 77 km)
